Comprehensive Energy Optimisation of a Production and Warehouse Site

Project introduction and context

The EUROLOGIS production and warehouse site had high energy demand, particularly for refrigeration, heating and building operation. ENAT prepared an energy assessment for the office and warehouse buildings at the Březhrad facility under the OP TAK – Energy Savings programme.

Client and scope

Client: EUROLOGIS s.r.o.

Location: Březhrad facility – office and warehouse buildings.

Scope: comprehensive energy optimisation of the production and warehouse site.

Initial state and project objective

The project aimed to develop a comprehensive solution to reduce energy consumption, operating costs and emissions while meeting the conditions of the OP TAK – Energy Savings subsidy programme and securing the maximum investment subsidy.

Solution proposed by ENAT

ENAT, s.r.o. prepared a comprehensive energy assessment and proposed a set of technical measures focused on long-term efficiency, cost-effective operation and sustainability.

Key technical measures

  • modernisation of refrigeration technology,
  • use of waste heat for heating and domestic hot water production,
  • installation of a photovoltaic power plant with battery storage,
  • reconstruction of the heating system,
  • replacement of lighting with LED technology,
  • insulation of buildings and improved building energy performance,
  • implementation of energy management.

Technical parameters

  • proposed photovoltaic capacity: 999.99 kWp,
  • total annual energy savings: 2,327 MWh,
  • annual reduction in CO₂ emissions: 1,196 t,
  • annual operating savings: CZK 5.7 million/year.
2,327 MWh/yearenergy savings
1,196 t CO₂/yearemissions reduction
CZK 5.7 million/yearoperating savings

Subsidy programme and benefits

The project served as supporting documentation for subsidy support under the OP TAK programme. The benefits include a significant reduction in the operation’s energy intensity, efficient use of waste heat, an increased share of renewable energy, lower operating costs and a substantial reduction in the carbon footprint.

Conclusion

The project represents a comprehensive modernisation of the industrial site’s energy management, with an emphasis on long-term efficiency, cost-effective operation and sustainability.
